DNA Sampling

DNA Sampling can give us further insights into the Whale Shark.

For example, if the sex of the shark can't be determined by sight during an encounter because of the researcher not being able to get to a position where they can see the reproductive organs, or if the Whale Shark is a juvenile, the DNA sample will conclusively tell us the sex of the fish and this data can be included in the identification database.
